So Trump and Netanyahu are saying that the ceasefire only includes Iran and that they, especially Israel, are free to kill Muslims anywhere. They can even conquer Lebanon, just as they have conquered Gaza, and just as Trump wants to conquer Iran. These people, Trump and Netanyahu, are criminal villains.

On another note, it is clear that Trump does have a plan, even though with the dementia he no doubt does not properly understand it. His dream world is George Orwell's 1984, meaning HE wants to be Big Brother. The U.S. would control the Americas; Russia would get Europe; and China would get Asia. And they would all be full-on totalitarian military dictatorships.

They can then fight small wars with each other, in perpetuity, which along with propaganda (doublethink) happily provided by Zuckerberg, Musk, Bezos and now the Gods of AI, will keep their respective publics both subservient and full of hate towards each other. For other regions, the Sheiks and Israel can divide the Middle East, and everyone can exploit Africa. That's Trump's dream.

The world is so much worse now than at any time during my life. It was bad in the 1960s with the Cuban nuclear scare from the Soviets, and with periodic terrible episodes afterwards like Vietnam, 9/11, Iraq, and the many genocides. But while the Soviets and China were evil, they were not that powerful, and the U.S., which was powerful, remained, if not good, at least a stabilizing force. This period is over. We face a dreadful future. Any residual basis for optimism is fast declining, just as more and more of the natural world continues to be destroyed. Humanity, for all our potential, has failed, and in a way and on a scale that we have never done before.
